My JP is the same, has the dimple/hole where a post could go but it has never had one fitted.

Wouldn't hurt to put a mini post rubber on the matching post on the right hand side.   %$%

If you have a manual you should be able to figure out what the part number is but personally I wouldn't install a post there.
