The game was in play when the problem happened so assume the CPU is OK?I had all the pins on J1 renewed. Could it be the connectors to J1 need to be be changed? !@#

If you change only the connector and not the pins, then you have basically not resolved any issue - just bought some time before it happens again.

I would change the pins.

Did you try my suggestions ?
