I have never noticed them being listed as an IN4001, I have ordered 1N4001.
I just checked over some of my part lists from 10 years ago from some of the old light controllers i designed and sure enough 1N4001 is listed.
I always use 1N4004 diodes.
Aren't they higher rated than 1N4001?
