I got an idea, what about RTBB make some ramp protectors that are made from the same see through material that ramps are made from. Should not be too hard to mould.

Now, that would be the bomb. Ramp protectors made from see through plastics. 

I bet every man and his dog would buy them instead of ugly metal ones. It might be worth investigating. The plastic on the protector could be any thickness the designer wants to make. You could even make coloured versions to add a bit of bling.

Plastic see through ramp protectors, sounds much nicer than boring silver.
