Keep on with the speciality nut and bolt shops... many of the chain store nut and bolt centres all have the same generic stuff. I have a little guy down the road that has been going for about 30 years... in the back he has a whole host of imperial screws etc. Sometimes i have to cut them down ( put nut on first then cut) but he has never let me down yet.. managed to rebuild the whole leaf switch stack in the header of bank A Ball thanks to this guy ( every screw was missing)... Bought approx 100 imperial screws with pan heads for about $5.
I find its the same with small old electronic shops... often those that have been in business for 20+ years have NOS 6821PIA.. 6800 CPU Z80 etc... ive even found 5101 RAM in these shops and promptly bought the lot
