quite a funny subject really.
I agree with Nino, but.....if I was asked on a Monday about next weekend, I would assume they mean the first coming weekend.
However, if I was asked on a Friday about next weekend, then I would think they mean the one in 8 days time.
 
Definately dates required to stop the confusion.
