Could you just use the IDE cables from computers but only use or side?
In a pinch you should be able to. Just ensure the correct alignment 
That was the first thing we tried, didn't quite fit and so we filed them down a bit and taped 2 together, they worked but are EXTREAMELY sensitive and are a real hassle to take on and off
