Flash Gordon Parts Identified
« on: January 28, 2013, 12:28:55 PM »
Hi All, I'm trying to gather all of the parts I will need for my Flash Gordon restoration before i start. I've found and brought most of the easy stuff to identify but with some of the other parts I'm having difficulty identifying exactly what there part number is.  I have a manual and while it's helpful for some parts, other parts don't get a mention.

Does anybody know what the correct flipper rebuild kit is for this Machine and any help identifying the different globe holders and the red post would also be appreciated. Or ever better yet if someone knows of another source which would better identify these parts and I can find them myself.  Thanks in advance.

You need the "1980-1 Parts Catalog", which is a white and red cover. It lists the game specific parts and also the generic parts.

RTBB carry most of what you need. The mini flipper rebuild kit  - http://www.rtbb.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=40_38_73&products_id=2430

Lamp Sockets - http://www.rtbb.com.au/catalog/index.php?cPath=22_118&sort=2a&page=2

A2915 & A2916 are the common Bally lamp sockets, and the ones I use for Bally playfield swaps.

.

Thanks Nino, I have a cart half full at the moment with RTBB, still adding though as I find things for this machine.

Blair was good enough to drop his copy of the 1980-1 Parts Catalog around to me yesterday so with luck I'll find the rest of the items I need.

Anyway I'm sure one I get started I'll still have plenty of questions to ask everyone, so get use to seeing lots of posts starting with "Help"!!!

I know the feeling
I found it the day after I ordered 3 book on e-bay

They are a little bit more helpful than the games manual

I'm missing both spinner switch arms from this machine, does anyone know which one is the right length one? M-1272-33 or M-1272-32.
(I am assuming these codes are refering to the switch arm or wire spinner but im not really confidant of that either  !@#  )

See attachment below.

Not sure if you can buy just the spinner wire.

PBR have the entire spinner - http://www.pbresource.com/spinner.html

Marco have the same - http://www.marcospecialties.com/control/keywordsearch;jsessionid=E13C8824EDF8431B11C6000D30CB2307.jvm1?SEARCH_STRING=M-1272-33

I usually buy them from PBR - especially if they are to go on games with white spinners. I guess you can buy these and repaint, or buy the decal and apply to the spinner.

Thanks Nino,

I've ordered some spinners which I plan on painting but from the pictures I didn't think that the switch arm came with it. Mine are missing so i can't just clean them up and reuse them unfortunatly.
