hi guys,
hope you guys can help me here, i am after some rom and sound chip upgrades for my williams pinball machines. where here in australia is the best place to get them from?

Try IPDB.
For example, Firepower has all the ROMs here

if you want programmed chips so all you have to do is install them contact a member here called Beaky, he should be able to help you out.
