The gauge of the wire, and the original plug was far too thin, so they made up that cable to fix things.

I put the upgrade cable on my Batman Forever a few years ago as a preventative measure and it was cheaps as chips from PL.

I have to buy one for my FRANKENSTEIN cause it keeps blowing the dmd fuse, which is another common issue to do with the original set up with the jumbo DMD. Otherwise, its usually bulletproof and these jumbo DMDs are amazing. Makes u realise how small n crappy the std ones are when u see a game like Franky or Batman Forever in action.
