They wont.  Homepin has replacements but shows them as out of stock.  PM him to find out when he will have them again.

yep had a look on RTBB as well no good from what I can see. I made a new post about it but I will ask here too. Any body know where I can get a Type 2 williams/bally flipper opto board close handy to Brisbane.

Mr Pinball in Melbourne has them but they are twice the price of homepin

Mick, get Andy to come past, it will take him 5 mins to diagnose the issue properly onsite, and it will save u alot of grief, and save you from ordering a part which may not be needed.
Beaky can also check the IR board that controls the mini playfield, I know he has a spare onboard, and can also check his scources for any replacement part, and may not have to go outside of Australia IF his connection has some locally which he may be able to get over-nighted.
Theres plenty of help on the forum, but sometimes it can be easier to have a tech pop past.

Yep Brett I will get him in for sure on anything I cant nut out but this problem is diagnosed. I have tested it switching the opto boards back and forth and its sorted, just need the part. Lots of thanks to APA

I have the replacement optos instock (they need to be soldered to the original board)
I have replaced many of these before without a problem.
I just recently did another members next gen which had faulty optos
