Mark all Messages as Read
« on: March 03, 2013, 08:28:11 AM »
Can we please have a way of unmarking all messages as read? I generally read my messages on my IPad and have a bad habit of accidently hitting one of the 3 "mark all messages as read" that appear on the recent unread topics page.
If this is already possible, can someone let me know how to do it? Thanks.

I don't think that is available, sorry Adam.

Read recent posts on home screen only shows 3. Is there a back end setting to increase to say 20? This would at least allow someone to see recent postings should they accidentally mark all as read.
If you don't remember the 70s then you were on drugs.
If you remember playing pinball in the 70s you were having a good time.
If you don't remember anything,  then read about it here,

I'll take a look and see.

Done!! 15 posts now show in the recent history, that should keep most out of trouble.

Much better, shame it does not group by topic rather than posts.
Thanks all the same.

Could be a standard feature with the new software upgrade.

Just checking....Does everyone know that you can also bring up the last 10 pages of recent posts by clicking on the little icon (a picture of a page) to the left of the list of recent posts on the home page (you can also get there by clicking on the sub-heading "recent posts" if you google "Aussie Pinball"). This is how I usually access the forum, I check this once a day. 10 pages is usually more than one day's worth of posts. Then I just go to the last post I read and scan through all the more recent posts for whatever interests me. That way you don't miss anything.

Cheers, SV.

been doing that for years, and it works whether u are logged in or not, however, if u are not logged in, u dont get to see attached photos or videos, and the writing only stays one colour so u miss out on any coloured writing, and also, it doesnt give the forum, or the thread extra read statistics because you havent gone into the thread properly, and being on this way, without signing in, it doesnt add up and contribute to people logged in etc etc.

best way ofcourse is to log in and click on show unread posts since last visit.

did u also know, that if u are already logged in properly having done your password etc, and if u click the recent posts icon on the front page (page symbol left of/next to last 15 posts) it auto logs u in and u dont have to use your password for the 2nd logged in screen.

lots of good features avail if u look around n go searching.
