Maverick - paddle wheel activates ball search.
« on: December 19, 2013, 12:18:05 AM »
Hi ,
The paddle wheel seems to be going slower than it should and it takes so long it triggers the machine's ball search before it reaches the top. The only option is to activate a flipper the whole time which stops the search from happening. The motor has had the belt replaced...anyone with a Maverick had this issue?
Thanks.

I lubricated the gears with light oil.. if that doesn't work u may need a new motor..

Thanks guys, is it possible the wheel had been overtightened causing strain on the motor?
If I need a motor, are they available in Australia or could it be reconditioned?

you should be able to disconect the belt and the wheel will spin freely.if not, take it of the shaft and clean, inspect for damage.

I've ordered a new motor and belt from Marco which hopefully will fix the issue I'm having...the opto's were okay.

Doubtfull on the motor if it was turning its probably ok. Did u disconnect the belt and with the play field raised run the motor from the diagnostic menu to see how fast it spins?

With it in test also check for 28 volts ac at the two motor terminals any less it will drive slow. If it is less could be a high resistance on the relay contacts that drive the motor or connectors or power supplu

sounds like the belt is slipping, just replace the belt.
