Pinball Mods - Calling for ideas
« on: October 10, 2013, 03:32:19 PM »
As some of you know I recently purchased a 3D printer and have a grand plan for this machine outside of pinball (hopefully) but the fun side of it is to make some mods. Open to ideas, keeping in mind I don't want to start with dam hard things to design or paint - want to ease into it.

I will have a  !*! Devil Horn  !*! hand gesture for the band pins proto'd very soon.

I assume your limited to the size of the printer. What size objects can you print?

Just sent you an email Jady but how about some AP keyrings and if the plastic is strong enough, make a bottle opener out of them as well.  To make it easy, you might even be able to use the previous AP keyring as a template but have some nice 3D lettering.

Also, game specific keyrings.

What about a shark's head that sits over the shark hole on baywatch? I thought about getting one of those rubber toy sharks cutting the head off and mounting it so you shoot the ball into the sharks mouth.

1st things that come to mind would be custom made pop bumper bodies/caps and posts. What about longer flippers %.%. All the best with your new projects!

Re: 3D Print Mods - Timber block for AC/DC bell
« Reply #10 on: October 22, 2013, 10:25:46 PM »
Would anyone be interested in a 3D printed timber block with a real timber grain and colour that will slide over the aluminium block of the bell....

I can get this experimental filament that has wood particles in it and when printed it will look like wood grain.

If so would you like a square block or round and the end would show the cross section of the log hiding the screw etc.

Aiming for under $20.
