Weird fault .. Williams Gulfstream
« on: December 31, 2013, 02:25:17 PM »
Gday guys .

My Gulf Stream was fully working but hasn't seen any use for months until last week .
I find now that it has trouble firing the ball eject coil (think maybe thats a misadjusted switch on the game over relay  !@#).

Anyhoo, the really wierd thing is that all of a sudden pressing right flipper button activates left flipper , pressing left flipper button does nothing (except energise lock relay as it should when you 1st power up the machine .

Also, the right flipper intermittenly activates when the ball eject coil is energised .

Here is the relevent part of the schematic (BR tests OK with a meter but I think I will replace it anyway) .

Anyone have any ideas on this please ??

Cheers
Dave

Fixed . Ball eject coil not firing was due to a dirty jones plug connection causing a slightly dirty earth to the coil.

After reseating the jones plug, the flippers are also working correctly . (weird)
