Arcades were dying during my childhood. When I was 5 years old my mum bought me a pinball book and I remember being fascinated with the all the pictures, constantly going back to that book.
Going to the arcade as a kid, pinballs intimidated me as I considered them to be a grown ups game and if I was to spend my money I'd very quickly loose it - but they had my complete respect/ admiration and considered them to be the ultimate statement of luxury if one was to own one in their private house.
