2014 Mad Max pinball
« on: October 26, 2014, 03:26:46 PM »
Hey All, recently I've helped out with audio for a custom Mad Max Pinball.
Its just been completed and so I can now share a link to a small youtube clip.

http://youtu.be/wyOXLuhNdg4

This one is a one off but different models are now in production and will follow next year.

Purists may hate this one but the overall quality looks stunning to me.

Please if someone can help share the link on Facebook that would be great.

Enjoy! Z

Hopefully the other models sound different to a Meteor.

Done!! shared to both my personal and my restoration fb pages  ^^^ ^^^
I'll admit that i'm not usually a big fan of these type of mods to games but i have to say that the game DOES look sweet  #*#

And i like that the extra sounds have been added! Im keen to know how that was done. ie separate speaker or patched into existing sound board amp so all the sound comes from one speaker?

Hey Freiherr, yes I'd like to do a full audio re-theme, here's hoping for the future.

Thanks for the shares Mr Pinbologist. I worked on a playback system which was delivered from Canberra to Melbourne. Originally the new audio was to be added into the existing audio path but there were some problems. I tested my system on a similar machine locally but it didn't work so well with the proper pin and it's a bit hard to do system installation via phone so an additional amp and speaker were added.

With a bit of luck and more R&d I will have an Arduino based system sorted round the end of the year.

Thanks to Mike @Homepin for advice and light trigger boards kits.

Audio re-theme will be great. I love the back glass (coming from a Mad Max fanatic from day one).

Never could get into the band. Saw them in Geelong in a smallish venue and remember feeling a thud in the chest when the guitarist dropped his plectrum.  @.@
Still loving my Metallica Premium

I helped with audio only so credit for artwork goes to the artist. A Motorhead pin could be fun, roadies should be included to lug it from venue to venue. ;-)

It would be interesting to find out how much something like that would cost because it looks awesome.
A lot of work has gone into it.
Definately get rid of the Meteor sounds though :)

I have no idea of the total cost. Looking at what has been done I thibk the most time consuming part would have been the artwork.
I'm told the Meteor sounds suit the genre well as they are from around the same time. Haven't heard it myself, some day I will....
