Black Knight - what fastener goes here?
« on: May 09, 2016, 12:18:25 AM »
Hi, does anyone know what fastener goes at the peak of the really long metal ball guide shown below?

Mine has a nail there but that doesn't seem right.

My Black Knight doesn't have one, there is no hole in that spot.
So its probably not needed.

OK, thanks fellas, I'll put the nail back in. Didn't realise they used nails back in the day at the factory.

By the way, mine also has a couple of nails behind the upper right 3 bank drop target, under the plastic, anyone else have those? I removed them, but you can see the holes below:

They stop the ball from getting jammed behind the plastic.

My BK has them to, under the 3, bank targets (top) and under the slingshots. Mine doesn't have a nail where the ball lock is, interesting.....

Do you think these could have been an operator quick fix? My Sega Star Wars had them to stop the balls getting under the sling plastics. Nice old bent rusty nails so thinking it's not factory.  %.%

It's very common to see these on SS machines.
