Pics of Superpin, my virtual pinball build
« on: February 27, 2015, 04:20:55 PM »
Hi All

Here are a few pics of the virtual pin project i have been working on for the last two years.

I thought if i based its theme/artwork around Batman and Superman my kids might show some interest (none whatsoever)!!

Mitch, (mr pinbologist) built this for me, starting of with a (heavily) modified Gtb Pinball Pool cabinet. As it turns out he only used the cabinet sides, as the front and rear panels were removed and replaced to widen the cab to fit the 46" LCD panel. The backbox was built from scratch to suit the 32" panel (my old tv from the shed).

Most of the time was spent trying to get the PC set up and running properly.

The reason i took this on; I'm the guy who wants all of them but only have room for six games.
The games play really well, some are a little slow but most are smooth and play well.
The graphics are excellent, i like the 70s and 80s games, as thats what i played back in the day.

They look real. How close to the real deal as far as play are they?
Still loving my Metallica Premium

They do look real   The graphics are  comparable to a xbox  Thats part of my reason for the build

Playing the tables are quite real  and on the newer  games  its like a entertainment center #*#

Having nearly 400 different games is mind blowing as some I didnt know of  especially the Playmatics  and EMs

Ive had comments that you forget that its  video pinball

Thanks for the Genie comment  it dose look nice and its fun to play      Howzat

This looks great - but most importantly it is fantastic to see one set up & being used. Plenty of people trying to "invent" this &/or sell it - just awesome to see someone do it for themselves & actually have it at completed / working stage. Well done  @@*

Hi All
I have been  playing the games for nearly 2 years and I havent been keeping up with whats new in vp

I find that the S/S games are my favorites,  the classic sterns ect  .   with 425 to choose from there is so much variety
All the games from my arcade days  and all the new ones

Some play better than others as they have been made from different table authors  version 9
http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?app=downloads&showcat=50&dosort=1&sort_key=file_updated&sort_order=desc&num=&filter_key=

If anyone wants to see new tables  her is the link
Its time to upgrade to vp 10
I have been looking at the new  tables and they look amazing

They have been remade and ball physic and lighting sounds  ect have all been improved
I should be getting more games , some of the latest sterns  #*#  and about 60 Fx games
Im not sure if I will play fx2      as its not what I grew up playing .
I might show them  to the  guest       who knows :lol
When I get it going I will put up some pics     Ian

Would love to see a video of it playing and also head end when you have finished.
ALWAYS been intrigued by this format and one day will jump on in.
If it isn't broke, it isn't pinball.
