Washing insise of cabinet
« on: September 13, 2016, 10:38:04 PM »
Hey guys, im cleaning and painting the cabinet of my Roadshow, the playfield is out of the cabinet.
So whats the best way to wash clean the inside, i have vacuumed it out but the dust dirt is still in the wood.
What products do you use, im worried about the wood soaking up to much moisture.

Air Compressor - Blow out the dust and dirt.
Dry Rag - Pick up as much dust as possible if you don't have an air compressor.
Nifti and warm water solution. Wash the cab starting from sides, rear and front. Use an old paintbrush to remove the stubborn filth. Rinse with a clean wet rag.
Let it dry.
Sand and repaint

Some filth just cannot be removed. Stains that have permanently stained the bottom panel need to be sanded and painted over. Clearing or lacquer will just ensure it is more pronounced.

Thanks guys, where do you get this Nifti from, ive heard you talking about it for years Nino..
So it looks like i will have to remove all the wiring inside the cabinet to do it properly, thats a big job im not looking forward to.
