Post srews wanted new - Where to buy.
« on: June 10, 2009, 11:52:07 PM »
Like to replace all my post screws but cant find them at any hardware stores. Marco Specialties have them (refer picture) but they only fit 70's ems which measure #5 x 1-1 1/2". The sixties ems are slightly longer #5 x 1-1 3/4" to 2". The smallest I can find stop at #6 size.
Any ideas where I would get these screws ?  *!@

If they are for a Gottlieb - Good chance Pinball resource will carry them. Shoot them an email with the part number.

Would the GTB A-8857 Post suit?  If so RTBB have them.  This is the wood srew type that fits the acorn nut on top to hold down the playfield plastic.  Or is this too short?  This is shown here http://www.rtbb.com.au/catalog/index.php?cPath=40_125_126

The 60,s ems (Bally & Gottlieb) seem to have used slightly longer, flat head self tapping - the problem with screws available at local hardware as they are all metric (narrowest available in the right length is M6),did drill the posts out to fit these M6 but the heads looked too bulky.
