Non starting TOM

Hello looking for any clues on were to start looking for a problem, I have A Theatre Of Magic that last time I played about 6 weeks ago during a ball the machine would just suddenly lose power for split second and repower, so now I try to start and nothing starts although I can hear the clicking i.e. the power going to the machine. Had a quick look at fuses etc and that's about the extent of my knowledge any help would be appreciated.

When you say start do you mean start a game or the machine? If its the machine not starting, remove power cord and check the fuse in the power box on the right hand side inside the coin door. If this is blown, its likely the emi power filter. I have had to replace a few of these, its a job you want done properly as it is playing with 240v

No is not the fuse, any other suggestions.

Unplug the transformer from the power box, turn the switch on and check for mains power at the disconnected plug
No power means the power is not getting through the power box
Likely to be the thermistor

Any LEDs lit on the power driver board when you switch it on?

while the game is on, depress the mains fuse holder cap, or just tap it with your finger. If it resets, then it will be the fuse housing.

I have tapped and pushed every connector and that's about the extent of my knowledge inside a pinball machine although I did discover occasionally when it would start and I able to throw a ball around the playfield and was fine although soon as I touched a flipper (either one) the machine would shut down and restart a new game. That's that give any clues?

Unplug and replug in connectors j101 and j102 on the right of the power driver board. These plugs or header pins can need replacement

Think I've located the problem can anyone show me where flipper switch F2, F3 & F4 as the test report says to check them. I am not sure if there on the inside of the cabinet opposite the flippers or under the playfield, otherwise a recommended repairer the Wantirna area in Melbourne.

Look in the manual or sometimes printed in the backbox for the location of fuses. Manual can be downloaded from ipdb.org

I definitely agree with this. Poor connections here have always been the cause of my resets.
