Melbourne Matchplay Championship and Greg Berry Junior Cup 2017

[Strangeways]

Here's the schedule for Melbourne Matchplay. There will be four open tournaments and one junior tournament from 9-12 November. Each open tournament will award trophies for the top four, and prize money for the top ten. Players who provide a pinball machine for the event will receive free entry into the Melbourne Matchplay Championship (Event #3); let me know if you're able to help out.

MELBOURNE MATCHPLAY SCHEDULE

Event #1 Thursday Flip Frenzy ($20 entry)
Thu 9/11 7:00pm-10:30pm.

Event #2 Argonauts Pinball Open ($25 entry)
Fri 10/11 Qualifying open until 9:00pm. Finals 9:15pm-midnight.

Event #3 Melbourne Matchplay Championship ($40 entry)
Sat 11/11 12:00pm-7:00pm: Matchplay rounds.
Sun 12/11 11:30am-6:00pm: Finals.

Event #4 Saturday Flip Frenzy ($20 entry)
Sat 11/11 8:00pm-11:30pm.

Event #5 Greg Berry Junior Cup (U16s only) FREE entry
Sun 12/11 1:00pm-3:00pm.

Pre-registration is recommended, as these tournaments may reach capacity. Places are not guaranteed until payment is received. Payment can be made in cash to Luke at any tournament in Melbourne, or via bank transfer:

Just returned from visiting the venue. If not for the comp, it is worth leaving the loungeroom and just having a look. Last time I saw so many stunning machines lined up was last century. Blown away.

Apologies for the late update.

This is the third year of the Greg Berry Junior Cup, the kids' comp held in Greg's honor. It was held at the Golden Fleece Hotel, as part of the Argonaut's Pinball Club and the Matchplay Melbourne Comp - the largest in Victoria.

The kids were there on time, and had the following games in the Comp - Aerosmith, Metallica, Game of Thrones and Medieval Madness - all in pristine condition.

Congrats to all the kids that took part - all kids left with either a trophy, a Stern cap, or a medal.

Some feedback on the Kids Comp - The game between Zack and Nathan was considered to be one of the highlights of the entire 4 days of competition. On a side note, Zack Foster finished THIRD in the main competition.
