Gottlieb 'Pyramid'
« on: June 15, 2016, 03:51:08 AM »
Hi all , out of African 'Pyramid'
This game stinks bad , and not in a nice EM way

I think something was living in it , A lot of the internal metalwork is stained etc.
This will be a long resto , so bear with me ,

Game had a great Backglass and one of my wish list old Gottliebs,

I have managed to rebuild the headbox steppers score reels etc in the meantime ,while i was at it , i removed the heavy backglass and found
the backglass was taped behind another sheet of glass ,
Must of been for protection. anyway it was filthy between them .

I had to gently cut the old masking tape and ease them apart .
Some pics of BG , Before and after will amaze you!
pic 1and 2 show the 2 sheets taped together still ,

Awesome title. Rare and fun to play. Backglass condition must have been a real surprise. @@*

looks like the nicotine stain on the backglass protected the artwork from UV fading ().

What a fantastic pick up! I have a fascination with these "cross-over" (EM-SS) Gottlieb games.
“If you wanna escape, go up to a pinball machine. There’s a magic button on the front that takes you to a world under the glass and makes the the rest of the universe disappear.”
