So I Bought A Stargate
« on: April 10, 2020, 06:26:02 AM »
While i'm waiting for Bill to get off his lounge and go get it, does anyone have any info on these for me? Haven't played one, but have another Premier in my Street Fighter II that i like so took a risk based on reviews.
Interested in info, rules or opinions.

I had one for many years, loved it. Sold only due to space, and often think about getting another. Awesome game. I love the movie and it ties in well. Trick is to disable the "shoot the pyramid" dialogue.

Is that a menu option or a flipper flick? Street Fighters a fun game, simple and easy for people to pick up the rules so hoping for more of the same.

Trying to talk my operator mate out of his Aerosmith too, he doesn't want to sell it but i've grown to really enjoy it since it's been on hire here for a couple weeks. A good game gets me dancing, moving, swaying in rythm and jumping up and down. A real workout. Just have to figure out how to score better and advance through the multi balls. I figured out how to get the 6 ball multi and that one is a cracker.

Can't seem to get over 200mil though.

You press and hold both flipper buttons for a few seconds after staring the game from memory. I was so used to it, it became automatic, I had to think back about how it was done.

Stargate is my favorite SYS3 game, and it is in the best 2 or 3 SYS3 games easily. Greg Berry's was the best Stargate I've ever seen, complete with Bill Davis clearcoat, new plastic set, plastic ramp and a whole lot more new stuff that made the game play fast. Make sure the flippers are adjusted and strong, because those ramp shots are critical in the game and can be tough if not set up correctly. There is a "bug" in this game with the LHS VUK not being able to kick the ball if 3 balls are in the VUK (only happens during multiball). It rarely happens, but expect it to happen once every so often. I love the movie, and if I owned a SYS3 in my collection it would be Stargate and SFII. Great addition to the collection !

Thanks mate, i'm looking forward to seeing it. It's up in Townsville or Rockhampton or somewhere atm. A mate of Bills, and Bill put me onto him.

Still trying to wriggle Aerosmith out of Neil.
