Pin 2000 issue

Hi AllMy Revenge From Mars has spat the dummy. It started off with a stuck gun but was able to clear that with a gentle tap  or to on the the tube neck and ran fine. A day or so after that I booted and had nothing so turned off the pc via it's button then restarted and all was well.
A few days later I turned it on to no boot up at all, this time the pc restart had no effect as far as I can tell with no drive or post start beeps.The PC power light is on as is the double card light and the motherboard fan is running. I can't see any fat or split caps.
The Tube  hums and does flicker when the pc is rebooted.
Any Clues???

As no one seems to have any idea's I guess I might have to part it out.

Maybe try reseating the prism cars and ram chips

That was the first thing I did in fact, but alas no joy.

Only other thing I can suggest is maybe try another power supply

Maybe plug the e monitor into a laptop and see if you get anything on the screen

The pc power supply is an old baby AT one. Don't have an old ATX one to hot wire at the moment. The Monitor is CGA. I have a 19" LCD arcade flat screen I had bought for it and a CGA to VGA converter in the mail.

A "gentle tap" on the neckboard could point towards dirty contacts on the CRT neck pins, or dry joints on the neck PCB. Be VERY careful working on anything near the CRT, or boards. If you are not sure, call in a tech. If it is a dry joint, it is a 10 minute fix.

Yes I have that Artical printed out and bound in a pin 2000 reference folder I made when I first picked up RFM.
What puzzels me is I have no Playfield lights active, and some of the fuse LED's are not lit. (Pin 2000 have LED's under each fuse so you can see if any are blown). If the Monitor is shot the playfield should be lit as well as the boot gong should sound.

Maybe your PC motherboard is toast. I have a used one but can you post a photo of yours as I believe two types were used.


Oh also reason for some of the fuse leds being out could be because the coin door is open and those fuses refer to things like coils. Press in the safety switch and see if they light up.
