Kev,

A question: did replacing all the light sockets make a difference?

I take it you bought these from PBR? How much were they each?

Dont like flickering and dim lights as I think the illumination makes makes the game more appealing
Usually get them from RTBB, Tony or PBR if unable to source locally

With the light sockets,when I have the playfield out I connect a 6v battery and check all of them and replace as required (Usually ends up most of them) Even though they are pricey http://www.rtbb.com.au/catalog/index.php?cPath=22_118&osCsid=cd7aff3d66bf7b8cd98deceb7fea911cI think they are important to be working 100%.
If youre painting by Roller,I found best way was tracing artwork onto cabinet with pencil then masking (Blue)straight line art,any shapes I used cheap Adhesive clear plastic. I even worked out eliminating 99% of paint bleed.

Just one question.. Did you apply any webbing/splatter paint on the cabinet?? i know its sometimes hard to tell in pictures whether its been done or not.

Anyway regardless if you did or not.. it sure does look bloody NICE!! Top job

No splatter,easily done i think,just mask all colours and splatter away -might give it a go.
Need a break with painting so am starting the Sweethearts next -mechanicals & cleaning.

Bought it off Ebay earlier in year,cost me $160 + $48 freight,will keep my eye out if he lists any more,this is how it was listed (NEW LOW PROFILE HYDRAULIC ATV MOTORCYCLE LIFT 680KG MAX).
When youre down the gong again call over for a chat, only 5 mins away from Tony.

Been meaning to post for a week.

Had the pleasure of visiting Kev last week (he only lives 5 minutes away) and got to see his restorations first hand.

The repaint of the Jumping Jack was top shelf and was really interested to get some tips on how he went ahead and got the excellent results that he did.

It was also his second attempt at rebuilding the mechanics on an EM and once again full marks on the way the game played. Not one fault and very powerful flippers and pop bumpers.
