Changing the BOOT ROM has helped on some of them. I had a WPT with the earliest SAM boot ROM, and the list of USB drives that would work was minimal.

Upgrading a WPT to boot ROM 3.1 seems to make it recognize a lot more USB drives

I might have a 256mb one in my magic cupboard at home (where all the old stuff gets stored)...Will check tonight and if it is I'll send it up.
