Im going to have to make a trip to the local gun shop after the great comments....  Last time i was in there they had a damn 50 caliber sniper rifle sitting on the counter and you can actually buy it if you get the permit i can just imagine the check boxes on that form.

A 50 Cal snipers rifle? I can't think what type of game you would hunt with this weapon, unless a light armoured vehcile can be considered "game".

Thats what i was thinking when the shop owner told me lol  I couldnt ask to many questions as he refused to sell me shotgun shells without a licence for my video project

Given that you need a class A licence to buy a center fire rifle in Vic, I still don't know what type of animal you would be hunting down there with this beast. Rabbits, foxes and Roos dont need a 50 Cal bullet to kill. The more I think about it the more I ask myself "What the hell do you need a 50 Cal to kill?"
Maybe todays "Super animals".
Still cant think of an animal I need to punch a beer can size hole in to kill. Hmmmm, maybe my mother in law, maybe, but would be safer with a 105mm howitzer and even then I'd be calling in an air strike to make sure she was really done for.

I dont think you need it to kill anything but if you dont want to bury the remains it would be perfect

Our local boys may need to source the Flitz for us. I took a sticky beak this morning at a US site one of the lads mentioned in a previous post. No importing of liquids outside the US. As far as the 50 cal goes, near on standard for Canadian snipers in Afganistan. Don't quote me but I thnik the longest recorded confimed kill is just under 2.5 km's in the mountain region. Footage available on the world wide net if you look hard enough.

Or as Ric points out above - you could just be a very long way away... Assuming you can nail something at 2.5k's allowing for wind etc. etc. Hell of a shot!

If you pull an old computer hard drive apart you will find a good magnet to use.

I work in IT, and actually have a huge stack of drives I've been meaning to destroy when I had free time, why I hadn't thought of that, I don't know! Thanks for the idea!
