Inspired by the success of Daniel's CFTBL Chevy mod which I have now done . . .
I've always thought that the Electric Chair on Addams Family looked pretty insipid.
So, armed with some "how to" on LED's etc I went to work on "Old Sparky"
First I cut out two panels in the toy (see pic)
Then made new back ribs using BBQ matchsticks.
Next move was to spray chair with satin black, then dry brush with mid brown (for a creepier look)
Added a couple of hook eyes on the front legs for giggles (see pic)
Then buffed up the metal plate & painted inside the chair white to maximise lamp reflection.
Now, time to hot glue the two 18,000 mcd LEDs to the plate (see pic) wire in appropriate resistors, insulate and run wires to the 12v Chair Flasher.
Good Lord - it works!
Now I have a much creepier Electric Chair which flashes just like some poor bastard was getting fried.
Incidentally, I replaced the existing white 906 lamps in the dome flashers with BLUE dipped ones to cut some of their glare and make the chair effect more prominent.
