Baywatch pin problem
« on: March 12, 2011, 11:17:31 PM »
Hi all,can anyone please help. The DMD on my Baywatch randomly stops working and then next it will be fine.Sometimes it works fine for days then it will cut out .What would be the most likely problem. ^&^Thanks in advance.

Sounds to me like a connector issue either at the display itself, or the power supply.

Just wondering - next time it starts to play up, jiggle the cables to the DMD and at the power supply - they are easily traced back.

Check marvins there is a mod you can do for the large DMD
where you make a new cable
Did it to a Maverick with the same problems ,now all is sweet

+1 on connectors. Have just repaired a Baywatch with the same fault. Replaced the connector on the display, DMD controller board and power supply or there is a kit you can buy with the modified cable.

If you checking connectors in the back box, it's also worth looking at the GI connectors on the power supply and PPB as these will probably be burnt.
