AJ, good to get some extra feedback. I went and played with several different Tablets over the weekend and heres what i found also.

*. Anything Telstra sells, u can find it cheaper at Big W, Target or Kmart. And u dont have to go on a plan with these other sellers, whereas Telstra makes u go on the plan and charge u heaps per month. Telstras competitors sell the Telstra product, much cheaper than Telstra does. WTF. Work that out for stupidity.

*. I actually found the Samsung Galaxy Tab difficult to get it to return to the HOME position after playing with the menu system on the Galaxy Tab. It probably can be configured different to the Galaxy Tab that was on demonstration. I thought the Telstra one was equivelant in every way. They r so very close.

*. The youtube videos hammered the Optus unit bigtime, compared to the Telstra/Samsung one. So, I went and played with the Optus one and it was too slow, well compared to the others anyway. The screen was difficult to use with your finger.

*. I really liked the Telstra T-Touch. I found it really excellent. I didnt think it was slow at all. The fact it carries voice calls where the others dont, is great. The fact it has a stand for watching videos, also good. The Samsung one is over $400, whereas the Telstra is currently less than $200. A big saving.
If i could have got the Samsung Galaxy for half its price, it would have been great, but its too expensive pro-rata at the moment. I am keeping my Dreambook model for around the house, and my Telstra T-Touch for when i leave the house.

The Telstra T-Touch unit has been dropped to $199 at K-Mart, instead of $400 - $479 from Telstra. Its been dropped to $149 at Target. This is EXCELLENT buying.
It was this alone that made me purchase 4 x T-Touch Tablets. One for me, one for the wife, 1 x each kid in the family. Because we have all the same unit, we can video conference call each other etc, and learning the same model makes life a bit easier. Its also so much cheaper to replace if lost/stolen/damaged.

AJ, you are correct about size, the 7 inch Samsung/Telstra/FDreambook size i reckon is the best for work/play on the run. I found the Apple one too big, too expensive.
The Samsung one is also great, but u have to shop around to find a better deal. I will keep my eye out for any better Samsung deals for other members.
**I note, Telstra and Vodafone have a prepaid 3G card for $150 which gives u around 8-10 gig, 12 months to use it etc. A good choice if u dont want to get stuck on a expensive contracted plan.

Hi mate, when I played with a Telstra Touch tab the screen was virtually unusable - maybe it was the one on display but it certainly put me off them. As always, it depends what you are trying to achieve with the unit as to how much you are prepared to pay for one.

Forgot to mention, the Samsung Galaxy Tablet had probably the best n quickest graphics, with the others a close second.
