New Coils or Cold Weather Eatig Flipper Rubbers
« on: June 16, 2011, 12:16:11 PM »
Hi Guys,

I put new coils in my FT a while back but just recently it seems to be eating the flipper rubbers like crazy.

Bought a heap of replacements so I have spares but the rubber around the tips of the flippers seems to last only a week or so before it starts losing integrity. This morning there was a big chunk missing from one of them.

It seemed to start happening after the flipper rebuild and new coils, but it seems to accelerated a lot lately. Cold weather making them harder?

Thoughts or suggestions?

Cheers

Clancy

Cold weather will make them harder.. but chances are that the rubber is perishing due to poor quality or simple some very old stock

Maybe I shouldn't have bought the purple rubbers :)

I guess I'll try the black or red ones next.
