Lost Vegas - Dolly Parton project

A wet day, good for playing pinball and looking around the net about pinball.

I came across a project that CPR are working on called Lost Vegas. Looks interesting and by the sounds of it they are turning a 80's Bally SS Dolly Parton into a more modern sci-fi themed game. It has options to buy sound cards, MPU board and all the extras.

Question, take away the dolly parton theme what is the game like to play?
Does anyone have one or played one before and able to review it minus the dolly parton looks?

I'm not a fan of this side project that CPR are doing. The theme is rubbish and I don't like the idea of butchering a Bally for the sake of art. I wish they would stick to repro parts.

I think the delay was a new sound board that I think is finally being produced. A few of us have now joined the part time CPR glue team to help speed up their production. More like spreading out the initial glueing to free up their inhouse production, so there are probably 5 - 7 people working on the playfields. Myself did 30 - Eight Ball playfields I believe 2 years ago. Just finished 30 Cyclone playfields here in the basement workshop, & the last ones going back from the last guy glueing Friday. There are 20 pinbot playfields here starting the next ones for glueing. Might be another few people joining the glue team in the Fall on my side.

Here is an idea on a restoration side. Mike Halse who has done the Stern Star Gazer playfield art has a playfield with loose inserts, heavy glue under shoot again lense which he will fix himself after reink. On the plus side I changed out the rollovers at the bottom with new ones, nice that they had some for me. A two part epoxy is used with some filler powder to stiffen it up.
