What to look out for on World Cup Soccer
« on: November 08, 2012, 01:05:20 PM »
Hi folks, I'm thinking of buying a WCS machine and before I start looking just wondering what are some common things I should check for when inspecting a machine? Is there items that are expensive to replace that sway the values of these? I know the soccer balls get trashed up, any other items though?

Any advice appreciated.

It will prob need a new soccerball, they are available at RTBB. The soccerball motor shouldnt be terribly noisy, even new ones make noise, but a screaming one is worn, and will annoy you. Pretty reliable pin otherwise.

Plastics are always broken on WCS94, hard to find a few particular ones individually, but full sets are available, the left ramp often wears around the hole where the diverter arm goes through, wear on saucer holes and around goal, as said you will most probabaly need new soccerball.

As mentioned - The Ball is ALWAYS trashed and the plastics will have the usual 2-3 broken ones. Unless you buy a reconditioned or restored machine, you will have to factor in those parts. Check for wear in front of the goalie, and also the outholes (all three). These are a good indication of the mileage of the game. You can get Cliffys for all these areas.

Yep, wear in the saucers, TV mode hole and goal entry. Soccer ball wear and look out for cracked ramps at the screw points as well. Great fun machine. Scoring goals NEVER gets old!
