Another question - Does the ball search /solenoid sequence supposed to happen when the machine is turned on OR when game started.?  !@#

Ideally never - only when the game is in play and the machine doesn't "see" any scoring for a period of time - it then assumes a ball must be stuck and goes looking for it.

Re: BSD Ball search and Mist Ball problem
« Reply #17 on: December 30, 2012, 10:56:41 AM »
Just a final update on what I found and fixed.
After replacing all the non working Optos I still had double switches activating.

After rewiring the Launch Button Switch correctly, this solved the double  switch matrix problem and the Launch Ball was now operating.

Final problem was the Myst Ball, On startup, Ball loaded onto shooter lane ok, Right Ramp went up ok, Ball launched up to RH mist gate ok, problem was the ball stayed there for a couple of secs then the gate opened and the ball rolled back to the outhole.
All trough switches,rh ramp up etc showed ok when in switch testing.

Problem was - When the ball was sitting in the RH Gate, the ball was'nt covering the Rh Opto - So it was sensing that there was no ball in the gate. Re-adjusted the guide and mist ball works 100%.
Just waiting for a new wire gate to arrive as this is a temporary piece I made up.
