I would suggest that something is shorting out somewhere in that gi string.  Have a good look under the playfield and see if you can see anything metal touching a globe holder or something like that.  It could be like looking for the proverbial needle.  The problem may not present with the playfield up.

It could be a bad bulb or socket.

Lift playfield and unscrew all of the GI sockets on that string.  (It is easier to work from the underside rather than having to remove topside playfield toys/plastics to get to the GI bulbs.)

Remove all bulbs on that string.

Put new fuse in and then replace bulbs one at a time until fuse blows.

I usually keep a box of 100 el cheapo Chinese fuses on hand for when something like this happens. Once the short is located and fixed I put a new proper rating and type fuse back in.

Identify each of the globes in the string.  Make sure no tabs are shorting anywhere.

Thanks guys for all your great GI info, 3a sb no good, swapped it out with a 5a sb and problem solved.

Yep, that will do it.

If there isn't a list of fuse values in the backbox, check your manual if you have one.  If you don't have either you can download the manual easily from the IPDB or someone here will be sure to have one they can email to you.
