Gottlieb Victory soundboard
« on: February 11, 2013, 05:05:56 PM »
Hi all,
Have a problem with my Victory, issues are the display has disappeared and some of the play-field lights aren't working anymore,
I have looked inside the headboard and noticed that the soundboard (A6) has a flashing red diode next to the Drom and the Yrom rams
also cannot do a bookkeeping test using the test switch, the only things that activates is the ball chute...
any heads up would be greatly appreciated...
thanks

Lenny

Do you have the manual ?

Sounds to me that there could be blown GI Fuse and Display Fuse. The fuses are located in the lower cabinet. Be careful around this area. Fuse holders can also be an issue in these games. You could also try re fitting the connectors on the CPU Board.

Does the CPU board have corrosion near the battery ?

If you require another sys80b soundboard, Zivko, pinballsales67 has one for sale at $66 + postage, but It doesn't 'sound' like a soundboard problem though

The sound board red led flashes when it is getting the correct voltage.

(to my knowledge)  I doubt that is the issue.

Kind Regards,

Connector between the MPU and Solenoid driver board needs repinning, this connector does some weird things to a machine when flaky.
