BALLY MR AND MRS PACMAN RESTORE
« on: March 22, 2009, 01:38:28 PM »
Hope your all sitting down for this.  Yes it is a SS pinball machine  this one belongs to my sons Karate instructor has owned it for years.  Needed new rubbers and a clean so i pack my gear and head over to his place and learned a valuable lesson.  Don't take peoples word for things i ripped straight into the tidy up removing all the plastics posts and globes etc polished, and waxed added new globes rubbers and a ball. turned it on to test the lights and the game didnt work.  The battery had leaked and killed the cpu.  Luckily Mark had a ultimate cpu in stock which got the game running again reflowed a few dry solder joints and replaced dead transistors on the driver board and it was a goer again.  So all that work wasn't for nothing.  Something i will never forget is to make sure everything works dont just take people word for it..
