Sorry to be a pest guys, but this is my first sys80 project pin.
I never noticed/knew that the main board was missing the ‘PROM1’ game EPROM.  !!! Research states I only need PROM1 for Volcano.
After spending many hours on the net, it looks like no one supports/supplies game proms for Gottlieb, due to harsh Gottlieb copyright.  I don’t want to infringe their copyright; I’m just a hobbyist with one of their machines  ^^^, that some kind person removed the original.
I did check PBR’s site, but there is no section for software support. (I haven’t email him yet).
I’m able to program EPROM’s myself, but as these files don’t seem to be available, I’m thinking I might be up that creek and have to buy a Rotten Dog replacement.  !@#
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have no problem paying for an authentic Gottlieb EPROM.
The board is a little bit furry, but it seems someone has already repaired acid damage and all components seem to check out ok, plus the 5V is not getting dragged down on power up. (Still fixing the 60V section on the power supply) Would love to get the original board working, before substitution.
This should be my last question for six months, or so. If I can get her up and running, then onto cabinet/PF restoration.  $#$

The roms were available as visual pinball roms not too long back.

Pm me if you have trouble finding them. #@#

Have a look here and the next page

http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?app=downloads&module=display&section=categoryletters&cat=9&sort_order=ASC&sort_key=file_name&letter=V&num=10&st=10

Being new to this, I did find this site on google, but assumed it was for simulators, of which I still know nothing about VP's.
I've PM'd Ken and hope he can supply me the file. Thanks MartyJ.

As a side note. (I love a rant), coming from (working within Service/Software support) the poker machine industry, 'IF' an Australian manufacturer discontinues support for a particular product/model that was sold into the Australian market, then they automatically loose that 'Copyright' and it's a free for all.
Not sure if Gottlieb has any legal rights in Australia, selling their product into this country. Like I said PBR doesn't seem to offer any software support.
Please feel free to shoot me down/correct me, if someone knows more about this than me.  <..>

The pinball sims generally use the actual roms from the game.

Everything else is simulated.

So you could dl the volcano file from the link and burn the game image to the appropriate chip. (?2716)

One file contains all the roms including sounds, system and game.
