Xenon connector help
« on: June 20, 2013, 11:55:46 PM »
Before i start i have to say, yes I'm an idiot. I've been replacing old connectors on my Xenon tonight and neglected to mark where I was up to on the last one ( J3 on the AUX lamp driver board in the back box) anyway I started at the bottom and worked my way up, but when I got to the last one (orange/green) it needed to go into the third point down but I didn't think there should have been a gap between this wire and the next.
The question for anyone else with a Xenon is, given that I know that starting from the bottom the first 2 wires are in the third and fourth slots up followed by two empty spots in slots 5 and 6. Where is the next empty slot? I'm confidant that the wires are in the right order but not so confidant that I have them in the right location. Help please.

Here's a few pics of the machine at the moment. Once I finish off the resto on Flash Gordon this one will be next.

The playfield has mylar and is still in pretty good nick.

But it will be a lot better once I drop the new CPR playfield into it.

Awesome detail in the artwork on this game.

Here she is.
As you can see she has a pretty sad playfield and needs MPU repairs too.  The new cpr gold playfield i got for it turned out to have a nasty hole in it so its away getting repaired and clearcoat redone now.

Jez, someone really didn't care to spend that 25c on a new rubber tip for the shooter rod did they!
You can get new ones here. http://www.bestofpinball.de/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/41/products_id/8945
Though I haven't fully started on the resto of this machine, I've done a couple of things just to make it a better player before I get going. Here's a pic of the new shooter rod on my machine

If you see them on eBay don't buy them. I did and there to short. The best of pinball ones are the right length though.
