I think you need to insert the large WINK when you read "Currently Available for Restoration" and replace those words with "we have the artwork for these and can print one for you as long as you don't dob us in to the copyright police"

Sounds like the place that does NOT supply decals for machines you simply can't get them for, then suggests emailing them at the following address for them to explain to you why... ;)
-----
Current - Dr Who, The Shadow, Judge Dredd, Bram Stoker's Dracula and Star Wars DE

Owned but Sold - Indiana Jones, Revenge from mars, Fish Tales, Tron Pro

I prefer the repro glass in this case, the skin tones look much more realistic than that of the original.

If you read this thread...

http://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/bgrestocom-how-does-their-work-look#post-1203032

and see the posting by Clay (cfh), where he says...

About a month ago Steve changed the coloring process for the shine-through areas to have increased color saturation. Now it's very difficult to tell a silk screened BG from one of Steve's, even when lit up. The whole process has evolved and now I have to say, it's pretty darn good.

Its not rocket science even though they ( Clay and Steve here) pretend its some technical process they've been through to achieve a good result...... when printing a backglass you need to " double strike" the areas where the light comes through. printing ink is very thin and it washes out when backlit... 2 layers of ink and this is resolved.
I hate it when people talk bullshit and pretend they've done something clever

rrrrraaaooowww.  Not sure if you meant it, but that comes across incredibly arrogant.  I don't see anywhere we he comes across as trying to sound like he came up with the idea.  He simply responded to a question with some updated information for those on the fence about buying one of these backglasses.  John Greatwich does it, Pinball Rescue did it when they were doing backglasses, I'm sure many others do it too.

I don't read it as arrogant:

"Its not rocket science"

I use that phrase all the time - some people have pretty thin skin..................

Never said that he came up with the idea.. I did suggest that he " flowered" up his language to make it sound more technical than it is.
Arrogant??? If that's how it comes across then that's how it is I guess.. like I said its not rocket science and anyone in the sign trade would have been able to tell him that you HAVE to double strike the ink.
Arrogance is when someone starts to print off backglasses to sell but doesn't know exactly how to do it... read the posts - these were being sold already when the guy didn't know what he was doing.

Yes, me too.  Please let us know what you think of the glass when you get it.

Speaking of ordering backglasses, has anyone done anymore about a group order of several backglasses to save on shipping costs from the US?
