This is a topper! $20 plasma ball on top of STTNG. It looks great and it just seems to fit. Now all need is to find a suitably themed game for my jacobs ladder!  !*!

Fits the theme well - Love the LEDs behind the translite. Good job.

Like it.  Can you still get those plasma balls?

I got one of these for my theatre of magic. Did you simply plug it in to a socket or incorporate it into the machine?
Still loving my Metallica Premium

I saw mini lightning balls (about 3-4inch diameter) in AusPost recently, only $5 each, i think they plug into USB to power them, designed to sit on your PC etc...but a great prop/mod for a pin too ;-)
I think they also in certain $2 shops/giftshops too....

I still own a real "eye of the storm" from the late 80's, approx 8inch diameter sphere. ;-)

The mini spheres of today can be easily modded & included into a pin so the lightning effect is only triggered during a certain target etc etc..
