Geelong mini meet (sorry no photos from me anyway)
« on: December 10, 2013, 05:28:06 PM »
Just a quick thanks to Nick for inviting a few of us into his home to talk and play pinball.

Was great catching up with a few of you guys at Nicks for a few drinks nibbles and Pizza.

As usual most of Nicks games kicked my ass especially black hole that thing really hates me lol.

  Thanks again Nick

It was great catching up with a few old and new pin-friends. Meant to take some shots but after clicking two, got caught up in some conversations (mainly Nino's great tales of the old days of his father's game routes).

Thank's too to Daniel, we ended up over there in the evening, and I got to play Metallica which I was really keen to get my hands back on, and enjoyed filling up all the initial spots on Wh20 (which I think must have been reset since coming off route which made that a bit easy!!)

Anyway's these were the two I took.

Forgot to mention that I finally got to see the colour dmds in the flesh. Both afm and Mb graphics were great. Put me off my games as I found myself sometimes fixated on the dmd and then find the ball draining. I'd invest in one if I had these titles.

You Geelong guys are cool

You would be hard pressed to find a nicer bunch of guys to spend 8 hours talking pinball. We did play some pinball  #@#

I have to say that the MB is the best original game I've seen in a long time. Black Hole still kicks my ass..

Dan's Shed has grown quite a bit and he proudly showed me the completed Juke Box from my Father's route leftovers ! I'll show him the pictures tomorrow and he won't believe it came out that good !

Yes thanks Nick and Dan for hosting us for the evening, great catch up with everyone an talk pinball for a few hours.

Nicks MB looks awesome with the colour DMD, felt weird playing a few games on it then moving across to the JP with plain old orange  :lol
I'm a big sucker for AFM also but couldn't get into the groove  *.*

Gave Dans Metallica a workout and watched Robs 20min ball  @.@ whilst he proceded to kick my butt

Thanks guys look forward to catching up again soon

Bit late to the party (only over a month... whoops!) but I'm just posting this to remind myself for any future Geelong nights (if I'm invited!). My place isn't much to visit (unless everyone likes crowding around a single High Speed in a single-bedroom unit) but it's definitely an option ;)

Rad. I think I was swapping a HS backglass with Dan a week or two afterwards (I think it was the same one!) but didn't see this thread until today. And yeah, the HS I have now is the one he used to have in the garage. Love that damn game!
