Is Cavill Mall the old "Grundies" ?

That's a sweet line up.

Yes mate, in the same place as the old Grundys. 7 pins currently and 2 on the way
2x Star Trek, 2x Metallica, Avengers, ACDC, WOZ

I used to spend hours at Grundy's. I still have some tokens from back in the day ! I remember they had a Hercules - could have been the only one operated in Australia.

Huh, guess I'll not take them for granted any more! Just wish they still had a Williams or two... rather they just fixed up either the Addams Family or World Cup machines they had, rather than replace them with Transformers :/

Had an hour spare in Surfers this morning so dropped in to Timezone to check out the new pins. Played the WOZ first. Found there was a few minor issues with this machine. The flippers were misaligned, the playfield was not level and the Dorothy lock thing up the back kept dropping the ball. The sound was turned up high which made for a good game though. I found it to be a hard game to work out but had fun anyway. Then I played the ST LE and ACDC Lucci. I though the standard editions were OK but after playing these I don't think I could go back! I was wondering why all the hype about these two machines after playing the pro versions there previously. For me they were good but didn't have the wow factor. After playing the LE s I'm sold. I would defiantly head back to and have a game of these again.

I think you are spot on - these "pro" versions do let some otherwise decent games down. AC/DC for example, I thought the pro was pretty boring  compared to the higher level models. Haven't play ST yet, but hear some good things about it.
