That was pretty cool, I wonder what he used to make the flippers operate?

They're definitely not electrical, as you can see the speed and amount of flip is directly related to how much / fast he pushes the button. Most likely a set of rods with a pivot point.

There's been a few LEGO pinballs over the years and they all look cool !

Here's one that takes coins - but you will need to turn the sound off as the background sounds are doof doof..
