Hello All

I have tried looking on the internet with no success. Wanting to have a 1959 Gottlieb Universe work off 10 cent coins as it once did. The coin mech housing is there and the front plate but the chute is missing as is the coin mech. If any1 has any pics and/or info on 10 cent coin mechs and the chutes that were used and if you have them for sale please let me know.

I have 10c roll down mechs but I'm unsure if its the type you need? Or what else is missing

Do you have a metal or timber door? Around 1958 you had the option of what type of door you wanted... this may have extended to 1959. Ill have a look inside my machines, but all too often, the coin mechs were pulled out many years ago

Hi, thanks for prompt replies, had trouble logging in.........it has a metal door with the coin mech holder. The entry chute for the coin to roll down and the coin mech itself have been removed.
I'm not too savvy with computers......but I'm sure it would help if I added a couple of pics. I will attempt to do this tomorrow.

Sorry mate.. my machines of this era are stacked up on top of each other in the shed... only have World Champ out and I lost the key when my son had his 18th.. I put it somewhere for safe keeping!!!.
If I find it.. ill see what I have left inside the door

Howdy, the instant pic I have in my head of pins stacked up in your shed.........mmmmmmm niiiiice!  ^^^
Pinball culture and respect has advanced so much over the years......I'll never forget going to a garage sale back in the mid 90's asking if they had a pinball, to get the reply "what do you want one of those dirty old things for?"
Thanks for your offer to help, I couldn't find anything online showing what the coin chute should look like......I want some pics coz I think I'm gonna have to make one. I have a found someone that has 2 coin mechs to sell that take dimes.

LOl- no need to imagine.. here it is..

As for the coin mech... I finally got into the WORLD CHAMP with a universal key ( drill).. Mines a timber door but mechs should be the same, game is from '58.
Here's the outside..

And then inside..

A standard coin mech fits between the chute and where the coin box would have sat on the bottom. On RHS is the slug rejector. My mech has been removed and to add credits a simple push button has been installed inside the machine... button through the front door would have originally been a metal plug with the leaf switch behind acting as tension.

So all you need is a chute and standard coin mech for an EM machine... if you don't have one, I seem to have about 20 or so and can flick you one no problems

That looks similar to an Argentinian shed in Santiago Giuffo's new pinball book I just received.
If you don't remember the 70s then you were on drugs.
If you remember playing pinball in the 70s you were having a good time.
If you don't remember anything,  then read about it here,

The pic of the coin chute is exactly what I need.....now to make a couple  !@#
Ultimately I would like 2 coin chutes and two 10 cent or similar coin mechs, but really only need 1, no I need 2 but 1 is better than none.....

So, If whomever reads this has the goods and is happy to sell them please send me a message.
