SkitB 2nd game is "Experts of Dangerous" (Mythbusters)

announced today that they are doing "Experts of Dangerous" (Mythbusters) as there 2nd game and it is believed that JJP will be building in their factory.

Interesting theme. A bit left field.

The Mythbusters team are touring Aus next month with a stage show and I snagged some complimentary tickets so this ties in well. I will have to attend to see if they bring the subject of pinballs up during the show.

If not, I'm sure there will be a Q&A section so will MAKE SURE the subject matter IS brought up. 

From memory, their production company manager is from Aus as well.

yes the production company is based in Chatswood in Sydney, well it was at the beginning.

This game has two things against it imo, the theme and JJP building it (when they can't even build their own games in a timely fashion).

Just hope this game and the distractions do not impact adversely on SkitB releasing Predator

Gees you could practically pick any theme and they go for this, don't get it.

also technically not a mythbusters pin as it is not a "Mythbuster" license, but more of involving 2 personalities from the Mythbusters but interestingly the "Experts of Dangerous" is from a current tour shirt they have.


hopefully since the guys are in the movie prop industry and very clever guys that they create some cool toys

Having a company announce a second title before the first has been built has worked previously I guess.

"The new game is NOT based on Mythbusters or related in any way other than the fact that it shares the main stars of the show.

The Funhouse 2.0 project is a joint project between Planetary, Fast and Skit-B. We are designing and coding the update, Fast is providing the hardware and Planetary is providing licensing support. It is an upgrade for the existing machine and, to my knowledge, there are no plans to remanufacture the Funhouse machines at this time.

We have partnered with JJP for the assembly of Experts of Dangerous ONLY. Meaning not only are they not assisting with any other project we are involved in, but we are also supplying them with all of the parts and hardware to be assembled when the time comes, for which most of the hardware is pre-existing, tested and true. The partnership between Skit-B and JJP is born of the need to inherit each others' strengths and push our hobby to unforeseen levels of quality in the most timely manner possible.

While we are certainly thrilled with the amount of interest we have already received for Experts of Dangerous, we are refusing any pre-orders at this time. This game will be handled with a completely different model than previous efforts, so no money whatsoever will be collected in the name of Experts of Dangerous until we are good and ready"

Have you noticed that non of the "boutique" pinball companies are using cut and paste photographs for the artwork??. It is by far the cheapest way to make graphics as it doesn't involve any actual drawing. But each of these small companies are actually drawing the art, even to a more realistic effect. The big 2..Stern and JJP continue to go down the cheaper route of cut and paste ...

It is much more vibrant, bright and eye catching.. just what pinball  should be..

this looks like the gun in the art - pretty cool - make sure to watch it to the end as this gun is awesome.
