Pin extractor tool

Hey guys
Broke me pin extraction tool half way through repinning the Sinbad. Purchased it from great plains, but not worth placing an order just for that.

Does anyone know where to get these locally or does anyone have one they can part with,  I need a replacement.

Grind down a hacksaw blade ;)

or get someone with a metal lathe to hollow out a correct sized nail

I snapped mine too halfway thru repinning. Need to get a new one as well but think the cost of them is a joke particularly given how flimsy and crappy the quality of them is.

if someone can send me some accurate measurements and photos maybe I can get some made as getting some new items laser cut soon and these could possibly be a cheap thing to make while getting some other things made if this tool is made from flat metal.

I can draw one up in solidworks if that helps

depends what version you have as I am running a old version. But you can save it as a cad image or edrawing with measurements enabled.

I'm on it...
I'll have to measure the thickness once i get my hands on my calipers again.

I broke mine within 5 minutes - but it had nothing to do with the quality. The reason this happens is because I wriggled the tool around when you are supposed to ONLY slide it into the connecter and PULL the pin from the wire itself. Once you use the tool as designed, it will last years - as my current one has..

Nino, do you have a set of calipers to measure the thickness for Jadey?

I use a lot of different styles of automotive connectors and do have some specialized tools for extraction,
 but also have a collection of custom ground pop rivets which work just fine too..

seems like a common problem. mine looks like its about to snap as well. some pins seem to be more stubborn than others, or is it I dont have the patience I used to?
