Hello
« on: September 02, 2014, 09:59:47 AM »
New to this forum but a member on another.
I currently only own the much maligned Data East Maverick. This was purchased because it was all I could afford and I NEEDED a pinball machine. After playing I find it to be a very challenging game unlike a lot of others I have played.
My second pin is going to be a Ballys Aladdins Castle which is my grail pin. First pin I ever played and have always wanted it. I have tracked one down and just waiting on it to be ready.
The plan is to get a SS also. Dont know what but I am sure something will pop up at some stage.

Maverick is under rated. too many haters in the world, I enjoyed it as the gambling theme is cool. Drops are nice too!
Unfortunately mine is long gone and the bloke who bought it loves it.
post some pics when you get your Alladins castle, never seen one before.
If it isn't broke, it isn't pinball.

Recently fixed up an Aladdins Castle for a customer.. nice Bally Em with such a satisfying spinner shot. Couldn't stop playing it once if got it going... backglass has its appeal too!

I think if you stuck another theme on the Maverick it would be a lot more popular.
I have seen plenty written about how much the DMD costs to replace also but then other comments that they wish other pins had the same size.

There will definitely be a "New Pin Day" thread created when I get the Aladdins Castle.

Welcome to Aussie Pinball.

Don't mind maverick a good fun game.

When you finally get your Aladins castle if the Backglass isn't great I have a very very nice one tucked away needing a home ;)
